Mauser Group and its partners have joined forces to form a company called Mauser Packaging Solutions to deliver sustainable packaging services.
The companies involved in the partnership include BWAY, National Container Group (NCG) and Industrial Container Services (ICS).
Based in Oak Brook, Illinois, US, the new entity combines the innovation and history of BWAY and Mauser with the global recollection and reconditioning packaging solutions of ICS and NCG to deliver metal, plastic, fibre, and hybrid packaging products for various applications, including food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, personal care, chemicals, and paints.
The sustainable packaging solutions offered by the new company also include intermediate bulk containers, cans, pails, bottles, and drums.
PepsiCo Inc has signed a multi-year supply agreement to buy sustainable packaging from a joint venture facility established by Loop Industries Inc.
PepsiCo will also incorporate the Loop™ PET plastic recycled material solution into its product packaging by 2020, under the agreement.

Honeywell has been selected to upgrade Sappi Austria Produktions’ paper mill in Gratkorn, Graz-Umgebung, Austria.
The company will refurbish server virtualisation, process visualisation, and cybersecurity technologies at the paper mill to improve the product quality and production efficiency, while also reducing the cost.
The paper mill will feature four Experion PMD automation systems, four Experion MX quality control solutions, two ProCoat CD actuators, and a Secure Media Exchange gateway.
The facility will be installed with an Experion Virtualised Solution platform, which will help monitor the paper mill’s operations from a remote location.
